Many people worldwide use messengers like WhatsApp, Viber, Telegram, and Facebook Messenger. If you consider yourself a part of the gamer community, there is another communication app you might be familiar with: Discord. Discord is especially popular among young adults and gamers who use it to chat with friends and like-minded individuals. Much like other messenger apps mentioned here, Discord can be used to send text, audio, video messages, and pictures.

The app has lots of features that are geared toward gamers specifically. For example, gamers can voice and video call while playing and share their screen to provide a better experience for all chat members. Though taking part in trivia quizzes can hardly be considered gaming, the two are not so different. Some people thought introducing trivia in Discord chats might be a good idea, so they did. Even popular trivia games like HQ Trivia had their own Discord servers.

Trivia bots for Discord chat rooms have become fairly popular. So much so that we’ve compiled a list of the best trivia bots we could find. Use them to amuse the members of your chat room and have some fun with trivia questions. Organize championships, feed personalized questions to the bot, and spice up your Discord server with these bots!

TriviaBot

TriviaBot has titled itself “The Best Discord Trivia/Quiz Bot.” That title is not completely unreasonable, as TriviaBot is the most popular trivia bot. When you search for trivia bots for Discord online, this one will come up at the top of the search results.

Let’s start with the basics: the questions. TriviaBot has over 100,000 questions, so you are almost guaranteed to get different questions each time you play. The bot also invites players to submit their own questions, and watch out for them! The bot supports multiple languages to enjoy some trivia in your native language.

Finally, if you want to turn your chat into a real trivia game with the help of TriviaBot, you can create teams. Each team will receive points throughout the game. Your team will get its own profile page where you can share information about you and your fellow players.

The bot’s premium tier offers advanced features and interesting gameplay. For starters, you can play with individual question categories that do not have enough questions in the regular tier yet. You can personalize each game by submitting your own questions. No need to wait for approval either!

TriviaBot Premium has extended quickfire rounds to a maximum of 200 questions, as opposed to only 15 in the regular version. You can also start a quickfire round whenever you feel like it. For as little as approximately $5 per month, you can run multiple trivia games simultaneously and even schedule games for when you’re not around.

QuizBot

QuizBot proudly calls itself “The #1 quiz bot for Discord.” You should be the judge of that! The bot allows you to create custom trivia quizzes for your Discord chats. The questions are multiple-choice, which allows for a simple interface. Players can select their answers by clicking the corresponding number under the question.

You, as the quiz runner, have full control over the questions. You can decide how many answer options you will give, how many points will be awarded for each question, how much time the players have to submit their answers, and so on. The interface is intuitive, so preparing for your quiz will be easy.

If you’re not really into creating your own quizzes, you can select from a big library of quizzes from QuizBot. At the moment, there are a little bit over 69,000 quizzes and 740,000 questions in QuizBot’s selection. Quiz categories include games—many Discord users’ favorite, general knowledge, geography, and miscellaneous. The quizzes are separated by difficulty level, from easy to hard.

The premium tier of the bot allows for even more quiz customization. Instead of 25 questions per quiz, premium users can have 50. They can also add images to questions and create private quizzes. You can become a member of QuizBot Premium for a little bit under $3 a month.

Guess the Song

Guess the Song is a music-specific Discord bot. It will not offer general knowledge questions, but it has a large library of songs you can guess. As you can probably tell by the name, the bot invites players to listen to short fragments of popular songs and guess their names and artists.

Though you can create a game to share with friends in your chats, you don’t need other people to play. The bot offers different music genres and game modes to choose from.

RinBot

RinBot specializes in anime, which is a particularly popular niche on Discord. If you are interested in anime and know a bit about it, you will appreciate RinBot. The bot essentially invites users to guess the titles of different anime productions, offering thousands of titles to discover.

Screenshots support the questions, and video and audio clips. There are different difficulty levels to choose from, allowing newbies and experienced viewers alike to enjoy their game. Customize each game by selecting your preferred genre, origin country, and release year. The game has been translated into 36 languages.

GameQuiz

GameQuiz targets the most popular topic for Discord chat users—gaming. The bot follows a very simple structure: it shows players screenshots from popular and not-so-popular games, and the players must guess the title.

There are different difficulty levels. Unless you’re playing the easy level, the faster you guess the title – the more points you get. Similarly, players to guess longer titles correctly get awarded more points. You can skip the question or take advantage of the three hints you get per question. The harder the question, the more points you can get.

ALEX

There is one thing most trivia fans have in common: Jeopardy! Even if you don’t find the show particularly stimulating or interesting, you may still find it endearing, especially if you grew up watching it. ALEX allows you to play Jeopardy! with your friends on Discord. The bot offers Jeopardy! clues that you can then answer. In the form of a question, of course, if you want to stay true to form.

World Bot

World Bot is focused on geography. Besides trivia questions, the bot provides fun facts on the topic. It is a great source of information about countries, capital cities, regions, languages, and the weather. You can view geography memes and play Guess the Flag! If that sounds like something you’re good at or want to be better at, give World Bot a shot.

Countryvia

Countryvia is another geography Discord bot. This one focuses on trivia. You can guess flags and answer questions about countries. The three main game modes are as follows: guess the country the flag belongs to, guess the country’s capital, and name the country highlighted on the map. Countryvia is a fun game to play with friends. You can use it as a learning tool to improve your geography knowledge!

Final Words

How do you like these options for spicing up your Discord chat? Occasionally, throwing in a trivia game can be fun, especially when the topic is your favorite hobby, like gaming, anime, or geography. Some of these allow you to play alone, while others invite you to create personalized quizzes with your own questions and answers. Use these bots to entertain the members of your Discord chat or have fun answering trivia questions solo.
