Watching new and old episodes of Jeopardy! is never an easy task if you don’t have cable TV. The game show has been so commercially successful over the years that the producers can afford to hold on to the rights to all episodes, old and new, and never sell them to any popular streaming platform. As a result, you need to adjust to Jeopardy!’s schedule and try to catch episodes on TV as they air. Here is how to set that up!
Cable TV
Provided you already have cable TV set up, watching Jeopardy! over-the-air TV is the easiest way to do it. You can catch new episodes of Jeopardy!, as well as the occasional rerun, on cable TV. Different regions broadcast Jeopardy! on different stations. The first step to finding the right station for you is typing your zip code into the search bar on this page. You will see exactly where and when you can catch the next episode of the game show.
Pluto TV
Pluto TV is a TV streaming service. With a subscription, you can stream programs on different television channels live. The platform is available on different devices, so you can watch TV on the go using your tablet or smartphone. To tune in to the newest episode of Jeopardy!, you need to find the right channel. Jeopardy! may occupy different time slots depending on the region you’re in.
Pluto TV deserves a special mention because it happens to be the only streaming platform that owns the rights to some old Jeopardy! episodes. That’s right, you won’t find Jeopardy! on Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime Video. Pluto TV is the only place on the internet where you can watch a selection of episodes with Alex Trebek. As a bonus, these episodes are available for free! You have to be located in the US to gain access to the platform.
Hulu + Live TV
Though Hulu doesn’t have episodes of Jeopardy! available on-demand, you can use its live streaming platform called Hulu + Live TV. Hulu + Live TV gives you access to several channels like ABC, CBS, and NBC, where you can watch Jeopardy! every weekday. You can subscribe to the streaming service for as little as $7.99 a month. You can also make use of the free trial to see if you’re getting a good bang for your buck.
Sling TV
Sling TV is another solid option for everyone trying to catch new episodes of Jeopardy! live. Once again, the station you need will depend on the region you’re located in. For instance, if you can watch Jeopardy! on ABC in your region, you will be able to do so through Sling TV. If you can’t find the right station, you can always use a VPN (Virtual Private Network). Change your location online through a VPN and watch Jeopardy! on the stations that are available on Sling TV. The platform offers different subscription plans starting at $40 per month.
YouTube TV
YouTube TV is the obvious option for those who know and love the video streaming platform. YouTube TV offers channels such as ABC, NBC, FOX, and CBS, so you are guaranteed to find your daily Jeopardy! fix. All new subscribers are offered a free trial and a discounted price for the first three months of the subscription. The first three months on the base plan will cost you $50.99 per month. The following months will cost $72.99 per month.
DirecTV
DirecTV offers a number of cable channels, including ABC. You can watch new episodes of Jeopardy! every day using the platform. There are four different packages, starting with Entertainment and ending with Premier. Each package has its own selection of channels. You can find out how much each package costs and which channels it includes on the website. Subscriptions start at $69.99 per month.
Final Words
Though watching Jeopardy! on cable TV is a lot easier than using a streaming platform, not everybody has an antenna in their home, and we can respect that! Check out all the streaming platforms mentioned above to get your daily Jeopardy! fix. Keep in mind that you need to be aware of your region and the station that broadcasts Jeopardy! in it. You can find out what station that would be on the Jeopardy! website by typing in your zip code.

Julie Vaughn says
I am a Youtube TV subscriber and had Jeopardy on my list of scheduled shows for years. As of this week Jeopardy is no longer available either via my TV or if I log directly on my PC. A screen appears with the usual Jeopardy image but it is static and does not take one to the show. Neither Jeopardy nor Wheel of Fortune can be viewed on Youtube TV. Do you know why?
