There is nothing quite like the sweet taste of victory! Seeing your name climb the local leaderboard, moving on to the global one and passing everyone in its way. Though winning games in Trivia Crack gets you nothing in terms of money, prizes, and recognition (it isn’t HQ Trivia or the like, you know), it can make you feel really good about yourself. Besides, sometimes you just need a win.
If you’ve been playing Trivia Crack for a while, you know that not every game can be a winning one. Sometimes your opponent is faster, and other times you simply misread the question and click on the answer too fast. Things happen and you lose games. However, nothing can stand in the way of a player who wants to get better and win more games. If you consider yourself a part of the club, then you’ve come to the right place.
We will share some winning strategies, tips and tricks that will help you in leveling up and achieving victory in Trivia Crack and Trivia Crack 2, again and again.
How Do You Get Good at Trivia Crack?
Before you start winning game after game, you need to get really good at playing. The best way to get good at Trivia Crack is to…
Keep Playing
Take your Trivia Crack success seriously! If you want to change your body, you go to the gym and take care of what you eat. With that, the most important part is consistency. Even if you can only spare 20 minutes a day to work out, that’s enough if you do it every day for months. The same goes for Trivia Crack. If you want to get good, you’ve got to keep playing. Make time to play a game or two every day and you will inevitably get better.
Read the Question
Really, take your time. People tend to rush because they feel like answering quicker is better. It isn’t. Your opponent gets the same 30 seconds that you get to answer the question. Make use of that time by reading the question thoroughly. Then, read all the possible answers. If you rush over the question, you might miss an important detail, which will sway you in the direction of the wrong answers. Answering quickly gives you no extra benefit, so take your time and actually read the question.
Know Your Strengths
And know your weaknesses too! There are six different question categories in Trivia Crack: Geography, Entertainment, Art, Sports, History, and Science. It only takes a few games to figure out what you’re good at and where you need some help. Knowing which categories work best for you can help you in future games. For instance, instead of choosing the easiest category with a crown, tackle the categories you’re not so good at. You know that you can do a good job on your favorite categories with no extra help.
How Do You Win at Trivia Crack?
Playing and winning are two completely different things. Playing consistently will increase your chances of winning, but you have to do a whole lot more to actually win games. Start with these helpful hacks:
Use Power Ups
Trivia Crack offers a number of power ups that you can use in your games to your advantage. Each power up has its own purpose and not all are equally useful. The extra shot power up gives you the opportunity to skip to the next category and miss the category you’re not good at. This gives you another chance at providing a correct answer and winning.
The bomb power up will remove two incorrect answers from the bunch, leaving you with a 50/50 chance of winning. The double chance power up gives you the option to have another go at the same question by watching an ad. If you answered incorrectly the first time around, use this power up to get another chance to win.
The extra time power up gives you more time to answer a question. This is probably the least useful power up in my humble opinion. If you don’t know the answer, the reason is probably not that you didn’t have enough time to read the question. If you find yourself needing an extra 15 seconds to decide, however, you can go for this power up.
Finally, the correct answer power up is the most effective. It gives you the correct answer; all you have to do is buy it. Come to think of it, this power up takes away from the game element, as if you really want to win, you can just keep buying correct answers.
In my opinion, any player can really benefit from the first three power ups mentioned here. You don’t have to spend any money if you use them strategically. That means don’t use your power ups every single game; you will run out very quickly. When you’re buying power ups, buy them in bulk. It’s cheaper that way! Do your best at assessing your chances of getting the correct answer and use power ups when you really can’t choose. Don’t waste them on easy questions.
Buy Unlimited Lives
For about $100, you can play Trivia Crack non-stop forever (or until the app shuts down). That’s right, it only costs $100 to get rid of the concept of lives in your games. For this sum, you will get unlimited lives. That means you can keep playing and never be stopped by running out of lives. Forget waiting for your lives to come back!
The question is, is it worth it? $100 is not a small sum to spend on a game app. Unfortunately, there is no other way to get unlimited lives, so if you want to keep playing all day and night, you might as well splurge. If you’re even considering this option, it must mean that Trivia Crack is very important to you.
The beauty of endless lives is that you get more games in. Even if you lose, you’re still showing up and playing. You are bound to become a professional eventually. With more games up your sleeve, you can climb the leaderboard faster and pass your opponents on the way. The more you play, the more you win. Want free lives without having to shell out a pretty penny? We’ve got some tips for that, too.
Google the Answers
This tip is very juvenile and reminiscent of the fall of HQ Trivia live games. What you have to do here is use another phone to search for the answers while you’re in the middle of a game. You have to rely on voice commands and keyword search to come up with the right search results fast enough. You only have 30 seconds! If you want to splurge on a power up, this is where you can make use of extra time.
Though this might seem like something to try, I don’t recommend you cheat the game completely. It’s alright to get a little help sometimes and ask your roommate or partner to play with you. However, Googling the answers takes all the fun out of the game. Remember that you don’t actually win anything, so it doesn’t matter if you get one or two questions wrong. You’ll get them next time!
How Do You Win at Trivia Crack 2?
Trivia Crack 2 is a little different from the original Trivia Crack. Because of the different game modes, the cheats and tricks are different too.
Tower Duel: Hurry Up!
In the Tower Duel mode, you have to keep your eyes on the clock. You have a total of six minutes to get more questions right than your opponent. Remember, you don’t need to get every single question right. As long as you get a higher score than your opponent, you’re good. That means being strategic about the way you spend your time on questions. If you notice that you’re still not understanding the question after a few seconds, move on to the next one. It’s ok to skip a few questions. Rather than dwelling on the things you don’t know, go ahead and make the best out of the six minutes you have with some questions you do know the answers to.
Tower Duel: Focus on Your Best Categories
You don’t really need to answer a question in each category in Tower Duel. Go for the ones you’re good at! You only have a finite amount of time, so you need to use it well. Instead of spending time trying to guess the answers to questions in the categories you’re not good at, use your time on categories you know you’ll get the right answers in. Know what your good categories are and stick to them.
Create a Team
Being a part of a team has many advantages. Namely, you get to request lives from your team members when you run out. While being a part of any team offers that capability, it’s even better to create your own team. With your own team, you can keep track of how well you’re doing as a team and what level you are at in the game.
Rate Questions
One of the main attractions of Trivia Crack and Trivia Crack 2 is that the games accept questions from users. In fact, most of the questions you come across were generated by players just like you. With such a large volume of questions, Etermax cannot employ a person to go through each question individually. Because of that, the game asks you to vote on questions and say whether you liked a question or not.
There is something in it for you too. When you vote, the game gathers more information about you. Soon enough it will know the types of questions you enjoy and those that are not interesting to you. Keep voting and you will begin to receive more of the questions you like.
Use Power Ups
The power ups in Trivia Crack 2 are not so different from the ones in Trivia Crack that were introduced in the previous section. Use power ups when you’re stuck with a difficult question and have no clue about the correct answer. If you buy your power ups in bulk, they will end up being cheaper. Splurge on a mix of power ups and use them when you need them. Find which power ups work best with your strategy.
Don’t Neglect Your Missions
Many people think of missions as a stupid add-on that does nothing for the player. That’s actually not true at all. Missions can help you win crowns and gold bars, which can later be useful at pushing you to the top of the leaderboard. Every time you get ready to play another game of trivia, check to see what this week’s mission is. Missions have a time limit, so hurry to complete them on time before the clock resets. Besides an extra game or two, missions can spice up your regular games and provide some extra entertainment.
Final Words
As you can see, winning in Trivia Crack is possible, but it’ll cost you. If you don’t want to pay for power ups and lives, don’t worry, you can use the coins you earn in the game to buy all of these add-ons. In order to make enough coins, you need to work hard and play games consistently (and maybe watch an ad or two). If you ever find yourself slacking, remember what you’re working towards.
Trivia Crack is hardly a crazy competitive game where winning gives you a huge rush, and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon. However, we all like to win from time to time. If you’ve embarked on a journey towards success in Trivia Crack, don’t forget that you have to keep playing to keep winning.
