Calling all young folks! If you’ve tuned into Jeopardy! recently, you’ve probably spotted a few categories that pertain to your generation. From social media references to recent musical hits, there are plenty of topics that are sure to pique a young adult’s interest.
And Gen Z isn’t just showing up in Jeopardy!’s questions and categories. At this point, Gen Z-ers have been lining Jeopardy! contestants themselves. Mattea Roach, one of the top ten biggest earners Jeopardy! has ever seen, is a member of Generation Z herself. It won’t be long before the Jeopardy! leaderboard is full of Gen Z-ers, but only time will tell.
To help celebrate and engage Jeopardy!’s younger viewer base, we’ve collected our favorite Generation Z-related Jeopardy! questions in the list below. Test your knowledge on an array of topics pertaining to the current up-and-coming generation.
Many of these questions were featured in Jeopardy!’s National College Championship, which aired in February 2022. During these 18 riveting episodes, the show’s writers were sure to pepper in fun questions and punny categories pertaining to the youths, so to speak. Since the contestants were all college students (and members of Gen Z themselves), these clues were especially fitting.

This category, featured on Tuesday, February 8, 2022’s episode of the National College Championship, highlights notable celebrity social media accounts. These celebrities either came to fame through social media or grew their popularity on a social media platform.
Now, members of Gen Z know a thing or two about social media. They’re the first generation to grow up with social media, after all, and it’s become a ubiquitous presence in the lives of many Gen Z-ers.
