It seems as though Trivial Pursuit has a game for every occasion, and covers all categories and topics you could possibly think of, right? For some reason the Bible, as well as religion in general, is a rare topic in Trivial Pursuit games. You will find that some games contain questions about religion within the History or Geography categories, but there is no one Trivial Pursuit game dedicated to the Bible.
The reason for that is unknown. Perhaps the creators of the game like to focus more on entertainment rather than education. Besides, to be truly inclusive, Trivial Pursuit would have to come out with all kinds of games covering all religious studies, like Islam and Judaism. As with politics, big corporations like to stay out of it and keep the beliefs of their founders to themselves. This allows companies all over the world to stay neutral and keep all of their customers, Republicans, Democrats, Christians, and Jews.
Luckily, other companies are more open about their beliefs. Thus, you can easily find a suitable trivia game that will cover the Bible and more. Most of these games are suitable for little children, which is amazing for Bible study and church youth groups. However, don’t let this deter you from playing these games as an adult. You’ll still have fun — as long as you know your Bible facts.
Feel free to combine the questions from these games with a Trivial Pursuit board and pieces and voila — you’ve got Bible TP at the ready!
